On a scale from 1-10, how confident do you feel about your upcoming exams?
Whether you feel super prepared, or not at all, here is a full wellbeing guide on how to ensure your mind and headspace are ready to ACE the exams!
Study tips and spots around campus
Everyone has different methods of madness when it comes to studying. Whether you like to be surrounded by people or completely isolated, the important thing is to make sure you do what's right for you.
Green spaces in Bath
If you're someone that likes to study outside or simply just need a recharge, there are so many green spaces in Bath for you to clear your head.
You could kill two birds with one stone by studying and getting a tan at the same time ☀️
Fuel yourself with some mood-boosting recipes
I don't know about you, but I can't study or be productive on an empty stomach. I'll get hangry and no new information will be retained until I get something to eat.
Be sure to power your body and brain with enough sustenance to keep you going all day! Whether it's healthy snacks, or full meals, the power of food will absolutely get you through exam season.
Getting a good night's sleep
Even if your way of studying may be to pull an all-nighter, it's important to remember the power of sleep. Your brain isn't going to retain any information if you're not getting any sleep. You need to be able to enhance your concentration, attention, and motivation, and you know what can help with that? SLEEP! 😴
Hydration stations
Food, sleep and water are key things to a healthy lifestyle and are sure to keep you energized for exam season.
Be sure to grab your refillable water bottle and stay hydrated throughout the day with the many refillable water stations across campus.
Studying in accommodation as a neurodiverse student
If you're someone who finds it challenging to get your brain to function in stressful periods, such as exam season, the linked blog will help you balance your wellbeing while ensuring you're able to focus and prepare for exams.
You are not alone, and we are here to help you succeed in your academics!
Be respectful to yourself and others during exam season
Finally, it's important to remember that we are all in this together.
Exam season is a stressful time for everyone, so be sure to keep noise levels down. From 6 May to 30 May, we encourage everyone to keep noise levels to a minimum at all times. Loud social gatherings, parties, and BBQs will not be allowed during this period as it may impact those who are studying.
As always, if you need any extra help or have any questions, feel free to contact the ResLife team (reslife@bath.ac.uk).
Happy studying and good luck! You got this 💪
