Let's dive into the world of our campus catering outlets. Whether you need a quick snack to fuel up between classes or you're up for a leisurely lunch with your pals, we've got you covered. In this guide, we'll be your foodie tour guides and show off some of the catering hotspots that will be available to you. Check out our campus outlet map so you can easily find the ones that take your fancy.
Fresh Store - for bits and bobs
This convenient little supermarket is located on the Parade and is a great place to grab and go if you're on a tight schedule. You can also get all the essentials if you need to do a mini food shop, and it also has a world food range.
4W Café - for a quick bite and a brew
You'll find the café on Parade as well and it's the perfect spot for a hot drink and a sandwich. The menu is tailored for breakfast and lunch, with a lot of students choosing to take their food on the go (but you can sit in as well if you like).
Take advantage of the Exchange cup scheme where if you're using an Exchange cup (or any other reusable cup) in our outlets, you'll receive a 20p discount.
The Fountain Canteen - for variety and value
A large food court below Parade with multiple options here for all meals of the day. This includes fish and chips, noodles, tacos, and an American diner.
Lime Tree - for the best pizza on campus
The Lime Tree (located by The Quads) serves hot drinks, sandwiches, salads, snacks, pizza, pasta, and hot meals at the Global Plates counter - home of the No Plate Like Home campaign.
Make the most of the Munch Box (food waste reduction initiative) by bringing your own container to buy surplus food for just £3.25! This is available at the end of hot counter service until the food has run out, find out more on our Leave No Trace page.
Why not treat yourself to a beer as the Lime Tree functions as a bar alongside being a cafe and a food court.
The Hut - for hot weather treats
Located outside the Chancellors' Building, the Hut pops up in summer for waffles, slushies and ice cream! But not just any ice cream, Yarde Farm's very own deliciously crafted gelato, a must for a sunny day on campus.
Nourish at Parade - for nutritious and delicious meals
Nourish is located in the centre of campus and is a great spot for gorgeous views over the lake. It serves a menu of healthy food, developed in collaboration with the Department for Health. This includes curries, khobez wraps, poke bowls, smoothies, hot drinks and cakes.
Pavilion Cafe - for seasonal and artisan lunch options
Pavilion Cafe is located within the new School of Management building on the East side of campus, open to all students. It serves gyoza dumplings, buddha bowls, bibimbap and many more delicious options.
Sports Cafe - for food with fitness in mind
Sports Cafe is located in the Sports Training Village. It offers hot and cold drinks, a range of hot and cold food options and the popular Sports Bowls too (pictured below).
The Market - for meal deals, snacks, and merch
The Market is a small shop in the Students' Union selling a range of products. You can find a large range of grab and go snacks, Fairtrade products, sustainably made University branded merchandise and stationery.
The Pitstop - cheap eats
Pitstop can be found in the Students' Union, home to a variety of different menu options. There's cooked breakfasts, sub rolls, Cornish pasties and pastries, crepes and hot drinks too.
This is just a peek at the selection of food options you have on campus, see the full list of locations on our website.
