Take some time to reflect

Take a moment to slow down and soak in your first week at uni with our Postcards and Pizza event. It’s the perfect way to reflect, relax, and share your Freshers Week adventures with the people back home. We’ll provide postcards, stationery, and stamps—so all you need to do is put pen to paper and capture your thoughts, memories, and funny stories from your first few days.

Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without pizza! Grab a slice, chill with friends (old and new), and enjoy a calm, cozy way to round off a busy week. It’s reflective, relaxing, and full of good vibes—exactly the kind of chill evening you need after the excitement of Freshers Week.

Green Park Living Lounge is located on the ground floor of the building, just right of the main entrance and across from the reception. The lounge is accessible with an automatic door and a sloped entrance for wheelchair users. There are a range of seats in the lounge including table seats, sofas, and high seats. There is lots of natural light from the multiple windows along the length of the lounge.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

At this event, you’re invited to a relaxed evening where you can write postcards to loved ones about your first week here at Bath.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

There’s no official icebreaker; the event is designed to be casual and relaxed. You can chat with other students whilst you write t or just take some time to reflect quietly if that’s more your vibe. ResLife Ambassadors will be on hand to help with anything you might need.

The whole event is unstructured and flexible, come and go as needed or stay the whole time.

If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.

Pizza will be available, and allergens will be clearly labelled.
