This Week's movie is 'Knives Out'

It’s time to get cosy for autumn with the John Wood Cinema Club. Come along for a night of great movies, good company and lots of snacks!

To make things extra cosy, we’ll have pillows and blankets available, plus your ResLife Ambassadors will be on hand offering cold drinks and a tasty selection of snacks and sweets to enjoy during the film.

Whether you’re a movie buff or just looking for a comfy way to enjoy the week, come along, settle in, and enjoy the show!

'Nothing could blemish the lavish birthday party at the palatial estate of acclaimed crime/mystery novelist Harlan Thrombey except for his strange and unaccountable death. Now, the sharp knife in the silver-haired deceased's hand is a dead giveaway that something, or someone, had been bothering Harlan. But cryptic detective Benoit Blanc is not entirely sure. Because, as it turns out, there are more than a few members of the successful author's clingy family who have been economical with the truth so far. And as Blanc struggles to shed light on a tangled mess of half-baked leads and little white lies, all eyes are on the grand prize: Harlan's magnificent legacy. The question is, can Benoit find the answer to this perplexing case before someone else dies?'

The event will be held in the John Wood Social Space which is on the ground floor of John Wood Building. The room has seating available. There are toilets on the same floor.

This event is all about getting cosy. Come in your comfiest clothes, you can even wear pyjamas!

The movie we will be watching this week is 'Knives Out'.

Feel free to bring any food and drink you would like. We will provide sweets and fizzy drinks. Allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, feel free to let a member of the team know on arrival, we’re happy to help.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point
