Explore Bath’s most iconic landmark
Attending university at a world heritage site has many perks, including getting to see for yourself the famous landmarks that make up your new home. The Roman Baths are a stunning mix of history and atmosphere. With steaming hot springs and ancient architecture, you’re sure to snap some great photos along the way.
Plus, this trip is another chance to meet new students and make connections outside of your studio rooms. By the end of the day, you’ll have great memories, a little bit of Roman knowledge to impress people with, and maybe even some new friends to plan your next adventure with.
Book your ticket below to confirm your space. Currently open to Studio students only.
Please note: you will need to bring your university library card to gain free entrance.
Please meet your ResLife ambassadors outside the main entrance to the Roman Baths. This is in the main square also outside Bath Abbey, you can see the location on a map here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/T3ncBx3DMwnJuMbh9
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you and organise your tickets – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
When you arrive at the Roman Baths, you will need to show your library card alongside the tickets your ResLife Ambassadors will have. As a part of your ticket you will be given an audio guide which you can listen to. You are welcome to explore by yourself or as part of the group.
Please note the Roman Baths are not fully accessible. There are lifts but to access the entire site, you will still need to climb some steps. For further details on accessibility, you can visit their dedicated webpage here.
Visiting the Roman Baths can take anywhere between 90 minutes to 2 hours. There are no scheduled breaks, but if it any point you feel you need to rest, please let the ResLife Ambassadors know and they will help to organise this for you.
Please make sure to wear trainers or shoes you'll be comfortable doing lots of walking in as the Roman Baths has lots of steps and things to see.
