Swap ’Til You Drop
Refresh your wardrobe the sustainable way!
Everyone's invited take part in our upcoming Clothes Swap on Wednesday 12 March, from 12 noon to 2pm in the Claverton Rooms.
Join us for a fun and sustainable way to refresh your wardrobe while helping reduce waste. It’s the perfect opportunity to clear out your clothing clutter before heading home for the Easter break, and maybe pick up some new-to-you favourites at the same time!
How It Works
Step 1: Drop Off Your Items (In Advance)
Bring your donations to one of the following locations:
- West Accommodation Centre
- East Accommodation Centre
You’ll receive one token for each item donated, which you can then use at the swap event.
What to Donate
• Clothes
• Shoes
• Bags
• Belts
All items must be clean and in good condition. Ask yourself: Would I want to take this home and wear it? If the answer is yes, it’s perfect for the swap!
Step 2: Swap on the Day
Come along to the Claverton Rooms on 12 March with your tokens and swap away!
The first hour of the event is reserved for anyone with a token, so if you've already donated an item you get first pick. However, if you still want to join us on the day but don't have anything to bring yourself, you can still join us from 1pm to rummage through the racks and find your next favourite thing.
Whether you’re looking to update your style, save money, or make more sustainable choices, the Clothes Swap is a great way to get involved.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Claverton Rooms are located above 2W across from The Library on campus. You can see the location of 2W on the map here.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You'll be able to recognise them wearing their light blue hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
You’re welcome to arrive at any time at our Clothes Swap and stay for as long or as little as you like. Clothing will be arranged on tables and organised into general categories such as tops, trousers and accessories to make browsing straightforward.
The space may be moderately busy, particularly shortly after 12 noon. If you would prefer a quieter experience, arriving later in the session (closer to 1:30pm) may feel more comfortable. There will be general background noise from people chatting, but no loud music.
You’ll exchange your tokens for items at a clearly marked table, and staff and ResLife Ambassadors will be present if you would like any assistance. There is no expectation to interact with others, you’re very welcome to browse independently and take your time.
If you would like to attend more events like this one, make sure to check the ResLife Events page regularly for our latest updates.
