Bring a book, find a new favourite

Looking for your next favourite read? Join us for a relaxed evening where books and conversation take centre stage. Bring a book you’ve loved and swap it for something new and who knows, you might discover your next page-turner.

We’ll have plenty of tea and hot chocolate to keep things warm and inviting, so settle in, share your stories, and enjoy the perfect autumn vibe. It’s a simple way to connect with fellow readers and refresh your bookshelf!

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Pulteney Court Lounge. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Pulteney Court Louge is located on the ground floor next to the Operations Office. The lounge is accessible via card access, there is seating and toilets available.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Pulteney Court Living Lounge . You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

There will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you or find a seat on a table.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point, and you’ll be able to take your new book home with you.

Refreshments such as snacks and cold drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
