Glow big or go home

Not your average mini golf

Ever tried mini golf under the stars? Now’s your chance! Grab a glowing golf ball, take on our light-up course, and see if you can master a hole-in-one in the dark.

This event is the perfect mix of friendly competition and chilled-out fun, whether you’re a mini golf pro or if you’ve never played before. A great way to meet new people, laugh off the bad shots, and celebrate the good ones. With the campus lake as the backdrop and the glow of the course lighting the way, it’s set to be a night you’ll remember.

Plus, what’s a midnight event without a midnight feast? We’ll have drinks and snacks on hand to keep the energy going, giving you the ultimate excuse to stay out late and make the most of Freshers Week.

This event will be held in the grassy area in front of the lake on campus. ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you, and you will be able to recognise them in their light-blue RLA hoodies with the ResLife logo o. You will also be able to see the light up course as you approach.

Please note that the area can be uneven and may also include the steps of the amphitheatre as part of the course, so the course will not be fully accessible. If you have any concerns or are unsteady on your feet, please speak to an RLA who will be able to help.

At this event you’ll be invited to have a go on our light-up mini golf course. Set up by the lake on campus, there will be golf holes lit up at different areas on the grass. You will be given a start point, and try to get your ball in the hole in as few hits as possible.

ResLife Ambassadors will be able to organise teams, or you’re welcome to play on your own if you prefer. Students are welcome to come with friends and flatmates or by themselves.

The whole event is unstructured and flexible, come and go as needed or stay the whole time to watch others play.

A range of snacks will be available, and allergens will be clearly labelled.
