What could be better than a good film and a bowl of cereal? Cereal Cinema is your chance to get cosy, switch off and spend an evening with other students living in the city.
The best part? You get to help choose what’s on screen! Cast your vote from a selection of films and see which one comes out on top. Then grab a bowl from our free cereal bar, get comfortable and settle in for the show.
Whether you're a film fanatic, a cereal connoisseur or just looking for a relaxed way to meet some new people, this is the perfect excuse to take a break and enjoy some good company.
Come along with friends, bring your flatmates or arrive solo – there’s a seat waiting for you!
The John Wood Unwind room is located on the ground floor of John Wood Court, next to the connect room and across from the kitchen. There is sofa seating available, as well as the option to turn on coloured led lights which frame the ceiling.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you - you'll be able to recognise them in their light blue t-shirts and hoodies with the ResLife logo on.
This event is all about feeling cosy. Come in your comfiest clothes, or even your pyjamas!
Feel free to bring any food and drink you would like, or you can make use of our free cereal bar to grab your favourite bowl. Allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, feel free to let a member of the team know on arrival, we’re happy to help.
Depending on the film chosen run times can vary, but the event should finish at roughly 11pm.
There’s no pressure to socialise if you don’t feel up to it, you’re welcome to come and watch the film as a chance to decompress. Our RLAs will be there to organise everything and will be happy to support you however you need.
