If you’d had enough Lime Tree pizza and are looking for something new to try out I think the chicken counter is a great pick! The counter opens at 5:30pm so it’s a great place to grab dinner.
What they serve
Unsurprisingly, the chicken counter sells a variety of chicken dishes, with many sauce and side options. However, they do have a vegetarian option too.
Here’s a picture of the menu so you can check it out by yourself!
What I got
I got five chicken wings with maple and bourbon Tennessee BBQ sauce, a side of chips and a diet coke. It totalled £9.70, which is amazing for the amount of food I got. The chicken wings are also the most expensive item in the menu, so if you go to the counter it’ll probably total less than this.
Despite five chicken wings sounding like very little I actually had trouble finishing them, they were definitely a lot bigger than I expected, so keep that in mind if you want to order them. Taste-wise, the meal was really good. The wings tasted great, and the sauce added a really nice touch to them. I’m also usually not the biggest fan of chips, but I actually thought these were pretty decent.
Overall, I’d say checking out the counter is definitely worth it. I personally really like Nando’s, so its great to have a more affordable alternative on campus!
