Apps that every Bath student needs

Make your student experience easier

Starting university comes with a lot to keep track of from lectures and deadlines to buses, and even laundry. Luckily, there's plenty of key apps designed to make your uni experience smoother available to download for free!

MyBath: the app you'll use every day

Whether you're a fresher finding your feet or in your final year juggling deadlines, MyBath is the official hub for pretty much everything academic.

Why you'll open it constantly:

  • Your timetable - lectures, any room changes
  • Quick access to coursework and deadlines on Moodle
  • Important notifications and notices you'll actually need to see
  • Campus maps and key links all in one place

Top tip: turn notifications on early! It's the easiest way to stay organised without thinking about it.

Bath Go: your go-to for campus food discounts

If you're buying coffee, lunch or anything in between, this one's a must-have. Bath Go is the app that makes eating on campus cheaper, easier and way more organised.

Why students swear by it:

  • Earn loyalty points
  • See what's open (and when - crucial)
  • Access to exclusive offers

Read about all the offers and discounts exclusive to Bath Go app users.

TAP: talk student to student

Sometimes you don't want an official page to tell you about student life; you want to hear from someone who's actually been there. That's where TAP (The Ambassador Platform) comes in.

TAP is a student ambassador platform, designed to help you connect with future housemates and the ResLife Ambassadors before you even arrive in Bath. So you can easily establish connections and have the chance to ask questions before moving.

Why it's useful:

  • Ask questions directly to ResLife Ambassadors
  • Get honest advice about courses, accommodation, and uni life
  • Get to know your housemates before moving

No question is too small whether you're talking to the Ambassador team or your new housemates. If you're wondering it, someone else probably is too.

You will get a link emailed to you from ResLife during arrivals so you can download the app and create your account.

Roome: house hunting without the chaos

At some point, every Bath student realises house hunting is unavoidable and usually way more stressful than it needs to be. Roome is an app built by students who have experienced it themselves.

Why it's a game changer:

  • Find student houses and rooms in Bath
  • Match with potential housemates (before committing to a year together)
  • See what's actually available without endless scrolling
  • Invite friends into your search and compare places together

Instead of juggling group chats and screenshots, Roome keeps everything in one place and helps you avoid ending up in a house you'll regret by week two.

SafeZone: safety, support and visa check-ins

SafeZone isn't just for emergencies; it's also an important app for welfare and visa compliance at Bath.

Why every student should have it:

  • Quick access for security if you ever feel unsafe
  • First Aid on and off campus
  • Student visa check-ins for international students (academic engagement monitoring)

Top tip: Set it up ASAP when you arrive. It's so much easier to have it already before you need it.

Want to come to university prepared, organised and ready to make the most of your student experience? We highly recommend downloading these apps to help you stay safe, sane and save money as a student.
