It's Freshers Week so let's kick it off with a bang!

Welcome to the start of an unforgettable year! Join us for a fun-filled mixer designed to help you settle in and meet new people.

You’ll be treated to delicious pizza and doughnuts, the perfect fuel for an evening of socialising.

Try your luck with a spin of the ResLife wheel, where you could win tasty treats, chocolate, or vouchers for food and drinks. Feeling creative? Grab a brush and contribute to the lounge canvas, a shared artwork that will stay in your lounge all year, reminding you of the memories you made from day one.

Need help breaking the ice? Try playing Mingle Bingo a fun way to meet fellow residents and spark conversations. And if you’re up for some games, we’ve got plenty of card and board games to keep the good vibes going.

This is your chance to settle in, meet your neighbours, and start your student journey!

ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Clevelands lounge. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Clevelands lounge is in the courtyard. The lounge is accessible via card access and seating in the lounge. There are no toilets available in the lounge.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Cleveland Building Living Lounge. At this event you are invited to a mixer where you can socialise with residents from other flats and nearby buildings.

There will be pizza and doughnuts at this event as well as a variety of soft drinks. Allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, feel free to let a member of the team know on arrival, we’re happy to help.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

This event is designed to be casual and relaxed; you are welcome to join our icebreaker activities like Mingle Bingo, board games or chat to people if that’s more your style. If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.
