At this event, you’re invited to come and enjoy a fun afternoon of decorating cakes and biscuits. There is minimal baking at this event, the plan is to use icing and decorations to decorate premade plain biscuits and cupcakes. 

Not sure how you want to decorate your biscuits? There will be inspiration on the tables and you are welcome to use your phone to browse Pinterest, Instagram or other social media sites for inspiration. 

 The time during this event is largely unstructured, which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, ResLife team member Kamal will happily help introduce you or help you find a seat on a table.

There is no set break, but you are welcome to leave and re-join the event at any point during the 2 hours. As mentioned, snacks and drinks will be provided, but feel free to also bring your own food and drink if you would like

ResLife Ambassador Kamal will be ready to meet you in the John Wood kitchen at 5pm.You’ll be able to recognise him wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The event will be held in the John Wood kitchen. The entrance to John Wood has level access with automated doors. The entrance to the kitchen requires all University students and staff to use their library card to gain access.  

There are accessible toilets are located on the ground floor. 

If you prefer to arrive earlier, there is plenty of seating available in the John Wood Connect Room where you are welcome to wait whilst the event is getting set up and other attendees start arriving. 

Don't worry if you arrive after the event has started, you can join this event at any time and participate in the activity.
