Get ready to snap, crackle, and spook!
No tricks, just treats
Join fellow students for a frightfully fun evening of Rice Krispie Treat decorating. No baking experience needed — just good vibes, good company, and plenty of sugar. It’s a fun, creative way to unwind, meet other students, and get into the Halloween spirit (without stepping foot in a haunted house).
We’ll provide everything you need from marshmallows to icing, so you can create your own Halloween-themed snacks. Think ghosts, pumpkins, monsters, or whatever your imagination (and sweet tooth) inspires.
Whether you’re in it for the sugar rush, the spooky vibes, or just an excuse to take a study break, this event is guaranteed to be a treat.
Polden Commons is located on the ground floor of Polden B Block, next to the Polden Cafe. The room is fully accessible with steps free access and a range of both booth and table seats available. There are accessible toilets located on the same floor.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
This is a relaxed event where ResLife Ambassadors will guide you through making rice krispie treats (completely no-bake and perfect for beginners!) and how to decorate them in fin Halloween themes.
All materials will be provided, as well as some inspiration pictures to get your creativity flowing. Don’t worry if you’ve never made these before, RLAs will help every step of the way, and at the end of the event you will have some tasty treats to take home with you.
You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.
The whole event is unstructured and flexible, come and go as needed or stay the whole time.
If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.
