Craft your perfect winter look

Get ready to wrap up in style this autumn! Join us for a cosy afternoon of creativity at our Scarf Decorating Event, where you can design, personalise, and bedazzle your very own winter scarf. As the temperatures drop, it’s the perfect time to stay warm and stand out — whether you’re going for sleek and subtle or bold and brilliantly unique.

We’ll have everything you need to bring your vision to life — from embroidery threads and badges to beads, patches, and even hot glue guns for those feeling extra crafty. No experience needed, just bring your imagination (and maybe a steady hand!). Our team will be on hand to help you experiment with textures, patterns, and colours until your scarf is truly one of a kind.

So grab a friend, a cup of something warm, and join us for a relaxed, creative session that’s all about keeping cosy while showing off your style. When winter arrives, you’ll be glad you’ve got a scarf that’s as unique as you are!

Green Park Living Lounge is located on the ground floor of the building, just right of the main entrance and across from the reception. The lounge is accessible with an automatic door and a sloped entrance for wheelchair users. There are a range of seats in the lounge including table seats, sofas, and high seats. There is lots of natural light from the multiple windows along the length of the lounge.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

This is a calm event where you can enjoy some cosy-crafting getting read for the winter season.

All materials will be provided for you to ‘decorate’ your scarf however you choose. Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before, ResLife Ambassadors will be on hand to offer advice and suggestions throughout.

The whole event is unstructured and flexible, come and go as needed or stay the whole time.

There will be low-level music played on a small speaker throughout the event, but if at any point you need this changed please speak with an RLA who will be happy to help.

If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.
