Looking for a fun way to spend the evening? Join us for our Autumn baking evening designed to bring students together for a sweet experience!

Here’s how it works:

You’ll receive a cookie mix and all the baking essentials to take back to your flat.

Bake your cookies, decorate them however you like, and bring them back to the lounge for judging.

Want to bake with friends? Perfect! Prefer to go solo or pair up on the day? That works too, everyone’s welcome to join in.

All materials will be provided, and our RLAs will check in throughout the event to see how your baking adventure is going. This is your chance to show off your skills, get creative with decorations, and enjoy a relaxed evening with fellow students.

The event will be held in the John Wood Social Space which is on the ground floor of John Wood Building. The room has seating available. There are toilets on the same floor.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the John Wood Social Space.

There will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you to others.

At this event you will be given all the baking materials. You will then go back to your flat or a friend’s flat to bake the cookies. ResLife Ambassadors will check up on your progress. After you have finished your cookies, bring them back to the living lounge where you can see what everyone else has done!
