Bob-ross style paint class

Paint, Chill, and Channel Your Inner Bob Ross

Join us for a relaxed, Bob Ross–inspired painting session where it’s all about good vibes, creativity, and having a go – no experience needed!

Follow along with a calming tutorial, enjoy the process, and create your own version of a peaceful landscape full of “happy little trees”.

Whether you’re a budding artist or just in it for the fun, this is the perfect way to unwind and express yourself.

All materials provided – just bring an open mind and a sense of humour.

At this event, you're invited to follow a beginner-friendly, step-by-step painting tutorial in the style of Bob Ross. You can follow along at your own pace, and ResLife team members will be available to explain and demonstrate if you get stuck. You’ll be able to recognise them by their light blue t-shirts and hoodies with the ResLife logo on.

At the start of the event, there will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, ResLife team member Tabitha will happily help introduce you or find a seat on a table.

During the event you can chat while you paint, but the level of focus you put in is completely up to you and to what feels most comfortable.

There is no structured break during this event but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point and you’ll be able to take your painting home with you.

Refreshments such as snacks, hot drinks will be provided as well as access to a hot water tap. Feel free to also bring your own food and drink.

ResLife team member Tabitha will be ready to meet you in the John Wood Social Space for the event start at 5pm. You’ll be able to recognise her wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The space is fully accessible with automatic doors and accessible toilets on the ground floor.

If you prefer to arrive earlier, there is plenty of seating available in the social space, and Tabitha will be setting up the materials up to 15 minutes before the start of the event.

Don't worry if you arrive after the event has started, you can find Tabitha who will help you with materials, somewhere to sit and help you get started.
