Make your space feel like home

Ready to add a personal touch to your university space?

Join us on campus at the Limetree for a creative and chilled-out evening of crafting, where you can design and decorate items to make your room feel more like you.

We’ve got a variety of crafts ready, so you can get stuck into whatever inspires you.

Create colourful bunting to hang across your walls, design a picture frame and collage filled with photos of friends and family, or decorate a trinket box to keep your jewellery safe.

Feeling adventurous? Try your hand at candle painting, make bold, decorative candles to brighten up your space (remember, they’re for display only!).

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just looking for a fun way to unwind and meet other students, this evening is all about creativity, socialising, and making your room feel like home.

Come along, get creative, and leave with something uniquely yours!

ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in Limetree. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Limetree is fully accessible with seating and disabled toilets available. There are water refill stations and quiet areas in case you need a breather.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like. There will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in.

If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you or find a seat on a table.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point, and you’ll be able to take your creation home with you.

All materials will be provided for you. All you need to bring is yourself.

Refreshments such as snacks and cold drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
