A Little Spring for Your Room

Spring Starts Here

Spring is finally here, and what better way to celebrate than by bringing a bit of colour and creativity into your space? Join us for a relaxed Origami Flower Making event where you can learn how to fold beautiful paper flowers and create something unique to brighten up your bedroom, desk, or shared space.

This is a laid-back crafting session designed for all skill levels, whether you’ve tried origami before or you’re completely new. We’ll provide step-by-step guidance to help you fold simple but eye-catching flowers, and all materials will be supplied. You can follow along, get creative with different colours and styles, or just enjoy the process of making something by hand.

It’s also a great chance to take a break from coursework, meet other students, and enjoy a calm, creative atmosphere. You can work at your own pace, chat with others, or focus quietly on your craft while you fold.

By the end of the session, you’ll have your own handmade origami flowers to take home - perfect for adding a bit of springtime brightness to your room, even on those classic grey English weather days.

Come along, get creative, and leave with a bouquet that never wilts

This event will be held in Aquila Court social space, through the main entrance and next to the reception. There is an accessible toilet on the same floor and range of seating available, including both seats and sofas.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

This event is designed to be a calm, creative space where you can relax and make something at your own pace.

During the session you’ll learn how to fold simple origami flowers using coloured paper, with guidance available throughout if you’d like help. No experience is needed, and you’re free to follow the examples provided or experiment with your own designs.

The atmosphere will be relaxed and informal, with gentle background conversation and no loud music or flashing lights.

You’re welcome to work quietly, chat with others, or simply enjoy the process of crafting.

All materials will be provided, and by the end of the session you’ll have your own origami flowers to take home and brighten up your room.
