When was the last time you explored Bath beyond lectures, the library, and your favourite coffee spot in town? Join ResLife Ambassadors for a fun trip to the American Museum & Gardens and discover a different side of Bath.

Meet us outside the School of Management Building and just a short journey from campus, this hidden gem is packed with cool exhibitions, colourful American history, and beautiful gardens with amazing views. It’s the perfect excuse to get outdoors, take some great photos, and explore somewhere new with friends. Think grand historic rooms, vintage fashion, folk art, and peaceful green spaces all in one place.

University life isn’t just about lectures and nights out in town. Bath has so much more to offer, and this is your chance to see it. Expect good vibes, fresh air, and a relaxed day out with great company.

So, come along, try something different, and make the most of your time in Bath. You might just find your new favourite spot.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you outside the School of Management Building. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

From there we will walk to the American Museum and Gardens.

ResLife Ambassadors will meet you outside the School of Management Building, then it is an 18 minute walk to the American Museum and Gardens.

All of the Museum buildings are wheelchair accessible (ramps in some places) and a lift is fitted within the main Museum building. The gardens are also accessible. However the American Museum and Gardens does not alllow mobility scooters and very large electric wheelchairs due to narrow (70cm) internal doorways. There are also toilets available by the Deli and Exhibition Gallery.

There will be some unstructured time at this event while you are waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you to others.

While you are at the American Museum, you are welcome to go round as a group or by yourself.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point.
