Let’s explore together

Step away from the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in the natural beauty surrounding Bath on this walk to Beckford Tower. Starting at Bath Abbey, we will weave our way through the streets of Bath and into the surrounding hills.

Beckford Tower is a unique landmark found on Lansdown Hill. It’s an early 19th century tower built in the Gothic Revival style for William Beckford, a wealthy aristocrat, writer and art collector. The tower was built as a place for Beckford to enjoy the views of the countryside and to display his collection of art and curiosities.

Today, Beckford Tower is owned by the National Trust and is open to the public, offering a glimpse into the world of an eccentric 18th century millionaire and the chance to enjoy one of the best views in Bath.

Whether you're a history lover, nature enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys stunning views, this walk is a perfect escape into Bath’s stunning countryside.
