Grab your popcorn, get comfy, and let’s kick back for a night of cinematic magic! This is the perfect escape from the textbooks and deadlines, so leave your worries at the door, settle in with your friends or make some new ones! Let the movie magic take you away from the university grind.

Tonight we will be watching The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

" Twelve months after winning the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark must go on what is known as the Victor's Tour, wherein they visit all the districts, but before leaving, Katniss is visited by President Snow who fears that Katniss defied him a year ago during the games when she chose to die with Peeta. With both Katniss and Peeta declared the winners, it is fuelling a possible uprising. He tells Katniss that while on tour she better try to make sure that she puts out the flames or else everyone she cares about will be in danger."

Open to everyone, RLA Amy will welcome you with drinks and snacks at the ready. Don’t worry if you’re coming on your own, they’ll be there to introduce you to other students and make sure you’ve got everything you need to enjoy the film.

The run time of the film is just over 2 hours, and we’ll be able to pause it if you need. Feel free to bring your friends, pillows, blankets and anything else you like to make this the cosiest movie night ever.

Please help us make this event a sustainable one by bringing your own cup to enjoy the refreshments.
