Let's get your hands a little dirty and unleash your creativity.
Here's the deal. Your will need to bring your own glass jar, the more unique the better! We will supply the plants, compost and materials so you can decorate your jar however you like!
Not only will you walk away with a beautiful new plant friend but you'll also have a custom designed jar that shows off your style. It's all about fun, creativity and maybe a little bit of dirt.
So grab your jar, get ready to plant and let's make some botanical magic happen!
ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the John Wood Social Space. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.
The space is fully accessible with automatic doors and accessible toilets on the ground floor. If you prefer to arrive earlier, there is plenty of seating available in the social space.
Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the John Wood Social Space. They will be wearing their bright blue hoodies so they will be easy to spot.
We will provide the materials. All you need to bring is a jar. If you don't have one, we have a few pots in reserve.
Our RLA's will be there to guide you through the process and if you don't know how to decorate your jar there will be inspiration pictures available! We will have spare plant pots if you do not have a jar!
There’s no official icebreaker; the event is designed to be casual and relaxed. You can chat with other students whilst you pot your plant or just take some time to reflect quietly if that’s more your vibe.
Refreshments such as snacks and cold drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
