Welcome the season with your own jar of brightness.

Join us for Equinox Star Jar, a hands‑on workshop where you’ll create your own glowing jar filled with fairy lights, dried flowers, and a personalised affirmation scroll. Each element represents the return of longer days, new beginnings, and the fresh energy that the Spring Equinox brings.

As the seasons shift from winter to spring, many cultures see this moment as a time of balance, renewal, and planting intentions for the months ahead. Your Star Jar becomes a small symbol of that change, something you can take home and keep as a reminder of the new light you’re welcoming into your life.

We’ll provide all the materials, guide you step by step, and leave plenty of room for you to make your jar entirely your own. Whether you want something calming, vibrant, or celestial, this workshop is all about creativity, reflection, and celebrating the season.

Come along, craft something beautiful, and step into spring with your own little jar of light.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Pulteney Court Lounge. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Pulteney Court Lounge is located on the ground floor next to the Operations Office. The lounge is accessible via card access, there is seating and toilets available.

At this event you will be making a star jar, which represents a fresh start and new energy. All materials will be provided for you. All you need to bring is yourself.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

There will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our

ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you or find a seat on a table. There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point.
