Make, write and create our first ResLife magazine

Help make the ResLife newspaper

Fresh Off The Press is our community magazine club, where students help create the ResLife newspaper. Write an article, make some art, try a collage or share a story. Every contribution counts.

No writing or design experience needed. We'll provide all the materials. You just bring your ideas.

Get creative, get published

ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Aquila Court Social Space, through the main entrance and next to reception. There is an accessible toilet on the same floor and a range of seating, including chairs and sofas.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You'll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

You're welcome to arrive at any time during the event and stay for as long as you like. RLAs will explain how the newspaper works and share some ideas to get you started.

You can work on your own piece or team up with others.

There's no pressure to finish anything on the night. Contribute as much or as little as you like.

If you need a quieter spot or a break, just let one of our RLAs know and they'll be happy to help.

If you would like to attend more events like this one, make sure to check the ResLife Events page regularly for our latest updates.

For more ways to connect, you can see events hosted by the SU here, as well as information on societies and how you can join.

Please note:

We have photographers and film-makers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials. If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the ResLife Team.
