Need a break from exam revision? Join us this January for Brush and Brew, a cozy creative evening designed to help you relax and recharge.

Sip on a comforting tea or hot chocolate, pick up a paintbrush, and let your imagination flow. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just looking for a mindful escape, this is your chance to create something beautiful in a calm, supportive setting.

We’ll provide everything you need—paints, brushes, and canvases—so all you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to unwind.

Not sure what to paint? Think soothing winter scenes, a steaming mug on a frosty day, or something abstract to clear your mind. It’s the perfect way to take a break, connect with friends, and refresh your creativity during exam season.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Pulteney Court Lounge. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Pulteney Court Lounge is located on the ground floor next to the Operations Office. The lounge is accessible via card access, there is seating and toilets available.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in Pulteney Court.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

There will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you or find a seat on a table.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point, and you’ll be able to take your creation home with you. All materials will be provided for you. All you need to bring is yourself.

Refreshments such as snacks and cold drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
