The Polden Lounge is located in Polden C Block on the first floor. A ResLife Ambassador will be stood outside the main entrance door to help guide you and let you into the lounge. You’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA t-shirts and hoodies with our ResLife logo on.

The lounge is accessible with lift access and accessible toilets located on the same floor. Doors are not automatic, but Ambassadors will happily help you to enter the lounge. There is a range of seating including booth seats, table seats and sofas, as well as a more open space on one side. There is lots of natural light due to large windows, but extra lighting can be turned on over tables and booths.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

At this event, you’re invited to a casino-themed games night, where you can meet and get to know your fellow neighbours and other students living in your accommodation.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

Our Ambassadors will be encouraging anyone who would like to take part in some casino-themed games, including poker and other cad games. Don’t worry if you’ve never played before, there will be printed instructions and RLAs will be happy to talk you through everything.

The whole event is unstructured and flexible, come and go as needed or stay the whole time.

If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.
