Get ready to watch from the best seat on the hill

Looking for the perfect way to enjoy Bonfire Night without the crowds? Join ResLife Ambassadors for a relaxed evening of fireworks, friends, and all the cosy vibes. We’ll be watching the city light up from afar on Bathwick Hill — no queues, no chaos, just stunning views and sparkling skies.

Bring your coat, your friends, and your best oohs and aahs as we take in the fireworks from one of the best spots around. We’ll have sparklers to wave, snacks to share, and plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere without the crush of the crowds. It’s all the fun of Bonfire Night, minus the hustle.

And when the last firework fades, the evening’s not over — we’ll wander back to campus to warm up with mugs of hot chocolate and good company. So wrap up warm, get ready to sparkle, and join us for a chilled-out celebration with all the glow and none of the stress.

The group will meet outside the Library in the centre of Campus. ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

From there, you will walk down to Bathwick Hill as a group, setting up blankets in an area with a clear view of the fireworks.

This is a relaxed event where you can enjoy fireworks for Bonfire Night from Afar. ResLife Ambassadors will lead you on a walk to Bathwick Hill where you will set up with blankets and snacks, ready to watch the show from The Rec's Firework Night.

ResLife Ambassadors will provide head torches and blankets, along with snacks and Hot Chocolates to enjoy back on campus. There will also be sparklers to light to get into the spirit (and hopefully for some good photos to!)

We advise you bring with you:

- Warm Layers (it will be cold on the hill, especially sat down on blankets)

- Water or drinks. You will get to enjoy Hot Chocolate back on campus after the fireworks, but feel free to bring your won drinks, including flasks for anything warm, with you for during the fireworks.

- Your own torch if you would like. RLAs will provide you with a head torch, but if you would prefer more visibility please bring an extra torch to use.
