Get ready to hit the ground running—literally! Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a new personal best or a newbie just looking for a fun way to stay active, our next ResLife Couch to 5K club is calling your name.

But this isn't just a run; it’s an opportunity to connect and challenge yourself. It doesn’t matter if you walk it, jog it or sprint it – ResLife Ambassador Mahir will be there to keep you company and make sure the group is running at a pace to suit everyone.

Worried about the weather? We laugh at bad weather! Don’t worry, we will be there whatever the weather or the temperature – just wearing more layers.

Join us at Polden Commons for the start of every run.

RLA Mahir will be ready to welcome you at Polden Commons at the start of every run. Don’t worry if it’s your first time joining the club or running in general, he’ll introduce you to everyone and guide you through the run itself.

We’ll start with some light stretches to get everyone ready to move. After the run, we’ll cool down together and there is some time to socialise and have a hot drink.

Check out our tips for a successful run with us:

• Wear comfortable running shoes

• Check the forecast before you arrive. This will help you pick weather-appropriate gear (think layers!), and if it is raining bring waterproof items

• Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated pre- and post-run

• Make use of our reflective arm bands and head torches if it’s dark. We’ll have them on hand for you to use for the run as needed.

• Enjoy yourself! This is a friendly and non-judgemental space where anyone is welcome to join our couch to 5k journey

At the end of the run, you can join us for a hot drink and some biscuits if you would like. Help us make this event a sustainable one by bringing your own cup to enjoy the refreshments.
