Our day trip to Wells promises an unforgettable experience filled with history, beauty, and camaraderie. So, grab your friends, and join us on this memorable journey. Book your spot now.

Please be aware: You will be responsible for purchasing your own bus tickets.

ResLife Team member Tabitha will be ready to meet you outside Bath bus station at 9am, ready to catch the 9.10am bus to Wells. You’ll be able to recognise her wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

If you prefer to arrive earlier, you can wait outside the main entrance of the station where Tabitha will join you. You can see the bus station location on the map here.

While waiting for the bus to arrive, there will be some unstructured time to introduce yourself to other people. If you need help with this, you can ask your RLA to introduce you to the other students attending.

At the end of the trip, you will catch the 4.10pm bus from Wells, arriving at Bath at 5.30pm, ending the trip.

This day trip is a fun opportunity to explore the smallest city in England. After arriving in Wells, we will first head to the Cathedral, a 10-minute walk from the bus station, stopping for a short while to admire the building and for the opportunity to take photos if you wish.

After the Cathedral, we will walk a further 5 minutes to visit the historic Vicar’s Close, another great opportunity to stop and get some pictures!

Just after 11am, we will arrive at the Bishop’s Palace and Garden, where you will have roughly 1 hour 30 minutes to explore the grounds and gardens, either by yourself or with other students in the group.

In the afternoon you will be given free time to explore the town centre, which is also the perfect chance to enjoy lunch – whether you decide to bring your own or visit one of the local cafes.

Finally, you will meet again outside the Bishop’s Palace at 3.40 to return as a group to the Bus Station, ready to catch the 4.10pm bus due to arrive in Bath at 5.30pm.

If at any point during the trip you are struggling to participate or would appreciate extra support, please let Tabitha know and she will be happy to assist you.
