Explore campus and spot some pocket monsters!

Calling all trainers! Join our ResLife Ambassadors for Pokemon Go: Campus Capture, an evening of exploring campus, hunting down Pokemon and meeting fellow players.

Whether you're a seasoned trainer with a packed Pokedex or you've only just downloaded the app, this is a fun way to get some fresh air and discover corners of campus you might not have found yet. We'll head out together from Polden Common Room and decide our route as we go, following wherever the best catches take us.

It's also a great excuse to stretch your legs midweek, take a break from studying and swap tips with other players. You might even find a few new teammates for the rest of the year.

Charge up your phone, grab a warm layer and get ready to explore.

Please note: you'll need the Pokemon Go app installed on your phone before the event.

Polden Common Room is on the ground floor of Polden B Block, next to the Polden Cafe and just along from the West Accommodation Centre.

The room is fully accessible with step-free access and a range of booth and table seating. There are accessible toilets on the same floor.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You'll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

Meet our RLAs at Polden Common Room at 7:00pm. If you're coming on your own, they'll happily introduce you to other players before you set off.

The walk takes place around campus, and the route will be decided by the RLAs and the group as you go. The route is not step-free and may include slopes, steps and uneven paths. Wear comfortable shoes and warm layers, as it will be dark.

Make sure your phone is fully charged, and bring a portable charger if you have one. You're welcome to walk at your own pace, and you can head back at any point.

If you need a break or some support, just let one of our RLAs know.

This event is weather dependent and will be cancelled if the weather is bad.
