Where art meets relaxation

Take a break from the lecture hustle and join us for a cozy evening of creativity this November. Our Sip and Paint event is all about relaxing, unwinding, and letting your artistic side shine. Grab a drink, pick up a brush, and create something beautiful while enjoying the warm, autumn vibes. No experience needed, just bring yourself and a willingness to have fun. We’ll provide a selection of tasty non-alcoholic drinks!

Not sure what to paint? Think autumn leaves in rich reds and golds, a steaming mug of coffee on a crisp day, or a cosy window scene with falling leaves. It’s the perfect way to connect with friends, meet new people, and make the most of the season.

ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in John Wood.

The event will be held in the John Wood Social Space which is on the ground floor of John Wood Building. The room has seating available. There are toilets on the same floor.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

There will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you or find a seat on a table.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point, and you’ll be able to take your creation home with you. All materials will be provided for you. All you need to bring is yourself.

Refreshments such as snacks and cold drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
