This Week's movie is 'Scream'

It’s time to get scary for Halloween with the John Wood Cinema Club. Come along for a night of great movies, good company and lots of snacks! Get in the Halloween spirit with us, dress in costume and get the spooky celebrations started!

To make things extra cosy, we’ll have pillows and blankets available, plus your ResLife Ambassadors will be on hand offering cold drinks and a tasty selection of snacks and sweets to enjoy during the film.

Whether you’re a movie buff or just looking for a comfy way to enjoy the week, come along, settle in, and enjoy the show!

A year after her mother's death, Sidney Prescott and her friends started experiencing some strange phone calls. They later learned the calls were coming from a crazed serial killer, in a white faced mask and a large black robe, looking for revenge. His phone calls usually consist of many questions, the main one being: What's your favourite scary movie? Along with much scary movie trivia, ending with bloody pieces of innocent lives scattered around the small town of Woodsboro.

The event will be held in the John Wood Social Space which is on the ground floor of John Wood Building. The room has seating available. There are toilets on the same floor.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the John Wood Social Space.

This event is all about getting the Halloween celebrations started. Come in your comfiest or your creepiest Halloween costume! You can also turn up in normal clothes. Whatever you're comfortable with.

The movie we will be watching this week is 'Scream' which is rated 18+. If you are not a fan of scary movies, we recommend you skip this one!

Feel free to bring any food and drink you would like. We will provide sweets and fizzy drinks. Allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, feel free to let a member of the team know on arrival, we’re happy to help.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point
