Join us for a night of nostalgia
The social space may be new, but we’re going old-school for this game night. Join us for an evening of your favourite childhood games and get ready to let loose and feel the fun.
What will we play?
• Hide and Seek: Get ready to outwit your friends and find the best hiding spots.
• Blindman's Bluff: Test your senses (and trust your friends) as you try to avoid getting caught by the blindfolded player.
• Sardines: A twist on hide and seek where the seeker becomes the hider.
Whether it’s taking you back to your playground days, or you’ve never tried these games before, everyone is welcome to join us for an evening of simple, classic fun. Plus, you’ll get to know your new space like the back of your hand!
Join ResLife Ambassadors this Wednesday in the new John Wood Social Space.
RLAs will be at the John Wood Social space to welcome you when you arrive. Don’t worry if you’re coming on your own, they’ll be there to introduce you to other students and get everyone ready to play.
We’ll have instructions that you and the RLAs can read through if you’ve never played the games before, and they’ll help organise roles and teams as needed. You don’t have to join in with every game if you don’t want to, the evening is all about having fun, getting to explore a new space, and making connections with fellow residents.
ResLife Ambassadors will also have some snacks and drinks available for you to enjoy and help keep your energy up while playing. Help us make this event a sustainable one by bringing your own cup to enjoy the refreshments.

The new social space in John Wood is next to the reception, which can you see on the map below. There is seating available and an accessible toilet on the same floor.
