Meet your neighbours: Postgraduate Students

It’s fresher’s week so let’s kick it off with a bang!

Welcome to the start of an unforgettable year! Join us at The Cork for a fun-filled postgraduate mixer designed to help you settle in and meet new people.

Try your luck with a spin of the ResLife wheel, where you could win tasty treats, chocolate, or vouchers for food and drinks. Need help breaking the ice? Try playing Mingle Bingo a fun way to meet fellow residents and spark conversations. And if you’re up for some games, we’ve got plenty of card and board games to keep the good vibes going.

This is your chance to settle in, meet fellow postgraduates, and start your student journey!

ResLife Ambassadors will meet you at The Cork. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Downstairs Bar you can get into from garden entrance. Accessible toilets are located on this floor as well.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in The Cork. At this event you are invited to a mixer where you can socialise with postgraduates from other flats and nearby buildings.

Students are expected to buy their own food and drink. Students are allowed to buy alcoholic drinks, but it is up to you to drink responsibly and within your limits.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

This event is designed to be casual and relaxed; you are welcome to join our icebreaker activities like Mingle Bingo, board games or chat to people if that’s more your style.

If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.
