A milk-based sweet with vermicelli and ghee-filled fruits and nuts, spiced with cardamom. It's easy to make and can be customised to your tastes with any toppings you like - we recommend cashews and raisins.

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 12-15 cashew nuts
- 8-10 raisins or sultanas
Method
- Add half the ghee to a heavy-bottomed pot and heat until aromatic.
- Add cashews and fry until golden.
- Add raisins and fry until plump. Remove cashews and raisins from the pot.
- Add the remaining ghee and vermicelli to the pan and fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour milk into the pot and bring to the boil on low-medium heat. Keep stirring until the vermicelli is cooked through.
- Add sugar and cook for 3-5 minutes, then add cardamom and remove from heat when a thick pouring consistency.
- Serve in a cup and garnish with nuts and raisins.
