Unwind With Some Easter Crafting
Craft Your Own Spring Decorations
With Easter just around the corner, take a break from research, reading, and deadlines to get creative at our PG Easter Egg Decorating event. This relaxed crafting session is a chance for postgraduate students to celebrate the season while making colourful decorations you can hang in your room, office, or study space.
During the session, you’ll be able to decorate your own Easter eggs using a variety of colours, patterns, and materials. Whether you prefer something bright and playful or a more simple, aesthetic design, there will be plenty of ways to personalise your creations. All materials will be provided, so you can just show up and start crafting.
The event is designed to be informal and low-pressure—perfect for unwinding after a day of work. You can chat with other postgrads, share ideas, or simply focus on your decorating and enjoy the creative process.
By the end of the session, you’ll have your own decorated Easter eggs ready to hang up and bring a little bit of springtime into your space. It’s a simple, creative way to celebrate the season and take a well-earned break.
Green Park Living Lounge is located on the ground floor of the building, just right of the main entrance and across from the reception. The lounge is accessible with an automatic door and a sloped entrance for wheelchair users. There are a range of seats in the lounge including table seats, sofas, and high seats. There is lots of natural light from the multiple windows along the length of the lounge.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
This event is designed to be a relaxed and creative space where postgraduate students can take a break and decorate their own Easter egg decorations.
During the session you’ll be able to paint and decorate eggs using a range of colours, patterns, and materials, with guidance available if you’d like inspiration or help getting started. No crafting experience is needed, and you’re welcome to create something simple or take your time experimenting with different designs.
The atmosphere will be informal and calm, with light background conversation and no loud music or flashing lights.
You can chat with other postgrads, work quietly on your design, or simply enjoy a creative break from studying.
All materials will be provided, and by the end of the session you’ll have decorated eggs ready to hang up and add a little Easter colour to your space.
