Arriving

Our RLA Kamal will meet you in the John Wood Social Space by the reception desk from 4:30pm and will walk you to the crescent where ResLife Team member Tabitha will be there to welcome you. You’ll be able to recognise her wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo.

If you prefer to arrive earlier, there is plenty of seating available in the social space. The group will leave John Wood at 4:45pm, so please be sure you are ready to leave and have joined the group by this time.

As a group, Kamal will lead you over to the Royal Crescent. Don’t worry if you’re coming on your own, Kamal will be there to introduce you to other students and get you set with everything you’ll need to join in.

We’ll provide all the materials you need, including a variety of great games for you to choose from, different tasty drink and snack options and great company!

You can expect a fun relaxed evening where you can play games, meet new people and enjoy the sights of bath or head back to your accommodation.

Leaving

The event officially ends at 7 but you can leave when you like

We will meet at John Wood and then we will walk over together to the The Royal Crescent

When moving to Bath, The Royal Crescent is a very popular place to spend time and visit so why not know a little bit more about it?

1. The Royal Crescent was designed by John Wood. During the 18th century, his designs were highly influential, with the Royal crescent being one of the best examples of Georgian neo-classical architecture. The Royal crescent was built between 1767 and 1774, and John Wood designed the tremendous curved façade with iconic columns on a rustic ground floor

2. Did you know parts of Netflix hit show Bridgerton were filmed here in Bath? Bridgerton filmed season 1 in Bath in August and November 2019 using The Royal Crescent as par of the set. Now when you visit you can picture yourself in the Regency Romance of the show!

3. No. 1 Royall Crescent is a historic house museum - Fancy knowing more about the rich history of the buildings? No.1 Crescent is now owned by Bath Preservation Trust who illustrate the fall of the lives of wealthy owners of the last 18th Century.
