Take some time for yourself
As you settle into classes this October, it's important to take time out to manage your wellbeing as well as your study timetable. Moving to university can be a hectic and sometimes stressful experience, so we’re encouraging everyone to get out an enjoy the fresh Autumn air with us this Friday.
This event is in collaboration with Be Well Week, which promotes the university’s 6 Ways to Be Well for students and staff. Wellness looks different for everyone, but these six themes highlight the small changes you can make to improve your overall wellbeing.
ResLife Ambassadors will guide you on this walk where you will get to enjoy the picturesque views of Bath, and explore more of the city you now call home!
The starting point for this walk is on campus outside of the library.
ResLife Ambassadors will be waiting there to welcome you, you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA t-shirts and hoodies with our ResLife Logo on.
This is a relaxed walk and anyone is welcome to attend. ResLife Ambassadors will guide the way and make sure the group is walking at a pace to suit everyone.
The walk will take roughly 2 hours to complete – it is classed as an ‘Easy’ walk and covers roughly 2 miles in total.
We suggest you bring:
• Comfortable shoes suitable for outdoors walking (such as boots or trainers)
• Weather-appropriate clothing (make sure to check the forecast before you leave)
• A water bottle
• Snacks and any medication you may need.
This is an informal event, so you are welcome to chat and get to know others whilst you walk, or accompany quietly and take in the views – whatever suits you best
