It’s not Valentine’s… it’s Malentine’s, a night dedicated to celebrating the friendships that make life hilarious, supportive, and downright legendary. Join us in John Wood for a fun filled competitive evening, open to anyone who vibes with the spirit of Malentine’s.

Forget the romance; tonight is all about good company, good vibes, and good games. We’ve got poker, card games, pizza, and plenty of laughs ready to go, so gather your friends or come solo and enjoy a chill evening of fun.

Whether you’re here for the games, the snacks, or just a break from the week, this Malentine’s is your chance to appreciate the people who keep you going.

So, grab a slice, deal the cards, and let the good times roll.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the John Wood Social Space. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The event will be held in the John Wood Social Space which is on the ground floor of John Wood Building. The room has seating available. There are toilets on the same floor.

There will be snacks and pizza at this event as well as a variety of soft drinks. Allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, feel free to let a member of the team know on arrival, we’re happy to help.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like. If you need a quieter spot at any point during the event, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.

This event is designed to be casual and relaxed; anyone is welcome to attend. This is a mixer for playing, poker, games and socialising with other attendees.
