It's time for a cosy night in
Hop on your broomstick, it’s movie night!
Join us for a low sensory movie night designed to be calm, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone. This is a relaxed space where you can enjoy a cosy evening, settle in at your own pace, and take a break from the busyness of student life.
We’ll make things extra comfy with pillows, blankets, low lighting, and a gentle atmosphere. Your ResLife Ambassadors will also be on hand with drinks, snacks, and sweets to enjoy throughout the film.
We will be watching Kiki’s Delivery Service.
“More than anything, sweet 13-year-old novice witch Kiki wants to leave the nest to find independence and her place in the world. But fresh starts are always challenging. However, even though her broom-flying skills still need honing, Kiki has faith in herself and her abilities; no matter what, the girl is determined to reach her full potential. ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the John Wood Social Space. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.
The space is fully accessible with automatic doors and accessible toilets on the ground floor. If you prefer to arrive earlier, there is plenty of seating available in the social space
Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the John Wood Social Space. This event is all about getting cosy. Come in your comfiest clothes, you can even wear pyjamas!
Bring whatever makes you feel comfortable like a warm drink or a fidget toy. We will have a small basket of fidget toys on hand.
The movie we will be watching is Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Feel free to bring any food and drink you would like. We will provide snacks and drinks. Allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, feel free to let a member of the team know on arrival, we’re happy to help.
There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point.
