Lets take a walk to Sham Castle

Join our ResLife Ambassadors for a relaxing and uplifting guided walk to Sham Castle, one of Bath’s most scenic and peaceful spots.

The walk will start from John Wood accommodation, on the way we will stop at Pulteney Court and Cleveland Building and keep winding gently uphill to the Campus Library then through green spaces and woodland paths until we reach the iconic Sham Castle, an 18th-century folly with sweeping views over the city of Bath. Along the way, there will be space for reflection, light conversation, and moments of quiet. All at a pace that’s comfortable for everyone.

Whether you’re looking to boost your wellbeing, meet others, or simply enjoy a bit of calm in good company, this walk is open to all and free to join. No special equipment or fitness level needed, just a pair of comfy shoes and a willingness to take a breather.

The starting point for this walk is John Wood Building.

ResLife Ambassadors Pranjal and Aditya will be waiting there to welcome you, you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA t-shirts and hoodies with our ResLife Logo on.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you outside John Wood Building. They will be wearing their bright blue hoodies so they will be easy to spot.

What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, water and weather-appropriate clothing, a water bottle, snacks and any medication.

Pick up points:

Pulteney Court: 2:20pm

Cleveland Building: 2:35pm

Campus Library: 3:00pm

This is an informal event, so you are welcome to chat and get to know others whilst you walk, or accompany quietly and take in the views, whatever suits you best.
