This Week's movie is 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles'

It's time to get into the spirit of Thanksgiving and celebrate the season of gratitude with the John Wood Cinema Club. Come along for a night of great movies, good company and lots of snacks!

To make things extra cosy, we’ll have pillows and blankets available, plus your ResLife Ambassadors will be on hand offering cold drinks and a tasty selection of snacks and sweets to enjoy during the film.

Whether you’re a movie buff or just looking for a comfy way to enjoy the week, come along, settle in, and enjoy the show!

In New York, marketing executive Neal Page wants to travel home to Chicago for Thanksgiving. He has difficulties getting a taxi and his flight is cancelled. He meets in the airport clumsy, talkative shower-curtain-ring salesman Del Griffith, who has taken his cab and they travel side-by-side to Chicago. However, the bad weather shuts down O'Hare Airport and they land at Wichita, Kansas. They both want to go to Chicago and they decide to travel together. Along their journey Neal changes his viewpoint about Del Griffith and his own behaviour.

The event will be held in the John Wood Social Space which is on the ground floor of John Wood Building. The room has seating available. There are toilets on the same floor.

This event is all about getting cosy. Come in your comfiest clothes, you can even wear pyjamas!

The movie we will be watching this week is 'Knives Out'.

Feel free to bring any food and drink you would like. We will provide sweets and fizzy drinks. Allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, feel free to let a member of the team know on arrival, we’re happy to help.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point
