Step away from the research grind and swap your screen time for something a little more comforting at our cosy, crafty evening

This laid‑back session is all about slowing down, switching off, and enjoying some well‑deserved downtime with fellow postgrads.

You’ll create your own cosy jar of deluxe hot chocolate or coffee. Just think rich, indulgent, and perfect to stash away for a cold evening when you need a proper pick‑me‑up. Think comforting flavours, simple crafting, and something warm to look forward to later.

No crafting experience needed and zero pressure to be “creative”, just turn up, chat, unwind, and enjoy the calm, friendly atmosphere. It’s a relaxing evening designed for postgrads who could use a break, a warm drink, and a bit of cosy comfort now (and later).

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Pulteney Court Lounge. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Pulteney Court Lounge is located on the ground floor next to the Operations Office. The lounge is accessible via card access, there is seating and toilets available.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in Pulteney Court Living Lounge.

At this event you will be making a pre-made drink jar that will either be a hot chocolate or a coffee with a variety of toppings that you can chose from.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

There will be some unstructured time while waiting for people to arrive which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, our ResLife Ambassadors will happily help introduce you or find a seat on a table.

There is no structured break during this event, but you are welcome to leave and re-join at any point. The session runs for around 2 hours, but you can leave at any point, and you’ll be able to take your creation home with you. All materials will be provided for you. All you need to bring is yourself.

Refreshments such as snacks and cold drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food and drink.
