Let’s make it tile‑rific!

Welcome everyone! Tonight we’re diving into a fun, hands‑on mosaic coaster‑making session that’s all about bold colours, creative choices, and making something you can actually use.

We’ve got loads of materials ready for you, tiles, patterns, colours, and plenty of inspiration. Go bright, go minimal, go totally abstract, whatever sparks your imagination. This is your chance to play with texture and design and end up with a coaster that’s uniquely yours.

Our ResLife Ambassadors are here for tips, ideas, and encouragement if you need a boost or aren’t sure where to start. There’s no right or wrong way to create a mosaic, so jump in, try things out, and enjoy the process.

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you in the Pulteney Court Lounge. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

The Pulteney Court Lounge is located on the ground floor next to the Operations Office. The lounge is accessible via card access, there is seating and toilets available.

Our RLA's will be in the Pulteney Court Living Lounge to welcome you. .

There’s no official icebreaker; the event is designed to be casual and relaxed. You can chat with other students whilst you paint or just take some time to reflect quietly if that’s more your vibe.

ResLife Ambassadors will be on hand to help with anything you might need. Don’t worry if you’re coming on your own, they’ll be there to introduce you to other students and get you set with everything you’ll need to join in.

We’ll provide all the materials you need and snacks and drinks for you to enjoy. The whole event is unstructured and flexible, come and go as needed or stay the whole time. If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.
