Fold and be bold
Join us for a night of fold-tastic fun
Looking for a cosy way to spend an evening, meet new people, and get those creative juices flowing? Our bi-weekly Craft Corner is back, and this time we’re diving into the wonderful world of Origami. Whether you’re folding your first paper crane or crafting a mini zoo, you’ll be amazed at what you can create with just a few folds.
Here’s the best part: you don’t need to be the next Pinterest sensation to join in. We’ll show you step by step how to make your very own origami creations, with all the colourful paper you need provided. Then it's up to you what your creations become - perhaps some fun bunting for your room, or a small gift for each of your flatmates?
Craft Corner isn’t just about the end product though, it’s about the process. It’s the perfect chance to take a break from lectures, unwind, and leave with both a new skill and a new set of friends.
So grab a cereal box, roll up your sleeves, and join us for an evening where creativity and community meet.
Polden Commons is located on the ground floor of Polden B Block, next to the Polden Cafe. The room is fully accessible with steps free access and a range of both booth and table seats available. There are accessible toilets located on the same floor.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
This is a relaxed event where you can enjoy some quite time crafting.
Craft Corner happens bi-weekly, and whilst each week has a focus, we’ll always have a range of materials and crafts for you to try.
You can choose to work on the craft-of-the-week, with Ambassadors on hand to teach you the steps, or you can go your own way and make something different with the materials we have available, the choice is yours!
There’s no expectation to talk or socialise if you’re not feeling up to it. You’re welcome to sit quietly, take a break at any time, or leave whenever you need to.
