Trick or treating with a twist

A Halloween hunt with treats at every turn

Not feeling a big night out this Halloween? No problem! We’ve got something just as fun and way more mysterious!

Join us for a campus-wide trick or treat adventure where you’ll follow clues from one checkpoint to the next, collecting sweet treats and spooky surprises along the way. It’s part scavenger hunt, part Halloween celebration, perfect for those who want to get involved without the party scene.

Grab some friends, solve the riddles, and enjoy a trail of treats across campus. Costumes welcome but not required, just bring your curiosity and your sweet tooth!

Our ResLife Ambassadors will meet you outside the Campus Library. You’ll be able to recognise them wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.

You’ll be greeted by ResLife outside of the library to start the hunt.

At each clue you will see a ResLife ambassador, you will be able to recognise their light blue hoodie. The treasure hunt is self-paced, so you can move through the clues slowly and take breaks.

If you’d prefer a quieter experience, just let a ResLife Ambassador know, we’ll be happy to help you find a space to take a breather. We’ve also considered accessibility across campus and will do our best to ensure all clue locations are reachable. If you have any specific access needs, mobility considerations, or sensory sensitivities, please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of the team.

At the end of the event we will be hosting a small gathering in Polden Commons and you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks.
