Stay in and get your game on
Take a break from deadlines, notifications, and the constant rush of uni life and join us for our Cosy Games Night at Osborne House. A space to slow down, feel comfortable, and enjoy games in a way that suits you, whether that means playing quietly on your own or joining in with others.
The night is all about choice and ease. There will be a mix of solo and group games available, from calming, low-stimulation options to light-hearted multiplayer favourites. You’re welcome to dip in and out, watch others play, or simply enjoy the cosy atmosphere with your housemates. There’s no expectation to be loud, competitive, or social unless you want to be.
Bring your housemates along, meet new people at your own pace, or come just for a change of scenery and a moment of calm. Whether games help you relax, focus, or connect, this evening is about comfort, inclusion, and taking time for yourself.
Osborne House Living Lounge is located on the ground floor of the building in the centre of the house and next to the stairs leading to the first floor. There are range of seats available including table seats and sofas. Please note that there is minimal natural light so overhead lighting will be used.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
You can expect a calm, welcoming space where you can switch off and enjoy games at your own pace. The atmosphere will be cosy and low-pressure, with a relaxed setup that’s designed to feel comfortable and not overwhelming.
There will be a mix of solo and group games available, so you can choose what suits you in the moment. You’re welcome to play quietly on your own, join a small group, or simply watch and enjoy the space. You can arrive at any point during the evening and leave whenever you need — there’s no pressure to stay for the whole session or take part in everything.
This is a social event, but socialising is always optional. You’re free to bring your housemates, meet others gradually, or keep things low-key and familiar. The focus is on unwinding, feeling included, and having a gentle, enjoyable night that works for you.
