Game, set, strike

Strike up some fun

Take a break from the books and join other postgraduates for an evening of bowling. Swap the library for the lanes and head into the city with our ResLife Ambassadors for a night of strikes, spares and plenty of laughs.

Postgraduate life can be busy, and it's not always easy to meet people outside your course. This is your chance to get to know fellow residents in a relaxed setting, with a little friendly competition thrown in.

Whether you're a bowling pro or someone whose ball has a habit of finding the gutter, all skill levels are welcome. Tickets are free and two full games are booked, so there's plenty of time to perfect your technique.

Please note: this event is for postgraduate students only.

No time to spare, sign up now!

We'll be hitting the lanes at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre. You can view its location on the map here.

The nearest bus stop is North Parade. ResLife Ambassadors will meet you outside the main entrance on road level (as if walking across the bridge).

You'll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

This is a relaxed event where you can meet fellow resident postgraduate students and bond over a friendly bowling match.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you and explain the rules to anyone who hasn't played before.

The lane is booked for 2 full games, and there is the option to buy food and drinks at the venue if you'd like to.

There is low lighting in the bowling lane room, with multi-coloured lights along the lanes and towards the back of the room. There is seating available. If you need a quieter spot, just ask one of the ResLife Ambassadors and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.
