Take some time to reflect

Take a moment to slow down and soak in Refresh Week with our Postcards and Pizza event. It’s the perfect way to reflect, relax, and share the adventures of your first week, or first week back, with people at home. We’ll provide postcards, stationery, and stamps—so all you need to do is put pen to paper and capture your thoughts, memories, and funny stories from your first few days.

Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without pizza! Grab a slice, chill with friends (old and new), and enjoy a calm, cozy way to round off a busy week. It’s reflective, relaxing, and full of good vibes—exactly the kind of chill evening you need after the excitement of Refresh Week.

Aquila Court social space is located through the main building entrance, next to the reception. There is an accessible toilet on the same floor and range of seating available, including both seats and sofas.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

At this event, you’re invited to a relaxed evening where you can write postcards to loved ones about your first week in semester 2 here at Bath.

You’re welcome to arrive at any time during the event. There’s no formal start or end, so feel free to drop in when it suits you and stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

There’s no official icebreaker; the event is designed to be casual and relaxed. You can chat with other students whilst you write or just take some time to reflect quietly if that’s more your vibe. ResLife Ambassadors will be on hand to help with anything you might need.

The whole event is unstructured and flexible, come and go as needed or stay the whole time.

If you need a quieter spot, just ask the team and they can help you find a nearby calm area to take a breather.

Pizza will be available, and allergens will be clearly labelled.
